Meet Storybook Characters

Beloved storybook characters are joining the Summer fun and visiting our libraries! Come meet them, take pictures, hear a story (all those minutes count) and enjoy some fun activities!

Special Performances

We're building a community of learners, dreamers and doers in Fort Worth. Bring your friends and family to join us at these special programs. While you're with us explore new books, take-home kits, outdoor games and more!

Guest Readers

We're excited to host community leaders as guest readers for story times across the City of Fort Worth. They're taking the Mayor's Summer Reading Challenge with us and helping you earn those reading minutes!

Nature Center Days

Create an authentic connection with nature with free admission to the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge with your library card from 7 a.m. to noon the first Mondays of June, July and August!

On each of these special admission days, Nature Center and Library staff will present special Family Story Times starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Hardwicke Interpretive Visitors Center inside the Nature Center & Refuge.

Enjoy the nature-related stories and then explore the natural beauty of your surroundings. As a destination for discovery, your Fort Worth Public Library offers activities to foster a lifelong love of learning. We designed this program for all ages!
